Adult website SEO in the USA: 100+ commercial pages in 12 months
A full rework of semantics, structure and content of an adult project for the US market. Over a year we created 100+ new commercial pages and brought the site to the TOP-10 for competitive queries.
The Challenge

An international adult project operating in the highly competitive adult entertainment and AI-powered services market approached Accendix.
The primary objective was to transform the existing website into a scalable organic user acquisition channel capable of competing for commercial search queries across international markets.
The project had significant potential for expanding its keyword coverage. However, achieving sustainable growth required a comprehensive approach to website architecture, content, technical optimization, and off-page ranking factors.
We identified five strategic priorities:
Build a comprehensive keyword database covering commercial and informational search intent.
Develop a scalable architecture of categories and landing pages.
Strengthen organic visibility in the US market while expanding German-language and other localized versions.
Expand topical coverage through commercial content and blog articles.
Increase domain authority through a systematic link-building strategy.
01. In-Depth Keyword Research and Clustering
We started with comprehensive research into search demand within the niche.
We collected and analyzed more than 18,000 search queries, covering major commercial categories, high-volume keywords, long-tail searches, and informational topics.
Particular attention was paid to SERP analysis, competitor research, and understanding user search intent.
After cleaning and clustering the keyword database, we developed a structured system of topical clusters, identified priority growth opportunities, and mapped target keywords to existing and planned pages.
Business impact: Instead of creating content without a clear direction, the project gained a structured SEO growth roadmap with well-defined commercial priorities.
02. New Website Architecture: Over 100 Commercial Pages
Based on the keyword clustering results, we restructured the website and developed a system of landing pages targeting different segments of search demand.
Over 12 months, we created more than 100 new commercial pages, each targeting relevant keywords and specific user search intent.
Our work included:
Expanding commercial categories and subcategories.
Developing unique SEO copy, headings, and metadata.
Optimizing H1–H3 heading structures and topical coverage.
Building contextual internal linking.
Reducing the risk of keyword cannibalization.
As a result, the website gained a scalable architecture that could support further expansion without requiring continuous restructuring of its main sections.
03. International SEO: USA, Germany, and Other Markets
International SEO expansion became a separate strategic focus.
The United States remained one of our key priorities due to its strong commercial potential and highly competitive search landscape. Our primary focus was expanding English-language keyword coverage, developing commercial categories, and improving landing page relevance.
Germany became an important market for localization. For German-language pages, we adapted the keyword strategy to local search demand, regional keyword variations, and the competitive environment.
For other target markets, we followed a similar approach: conducting dedicated keyword research, adapting content, and reviewing the international technical SEO architecture.
This ensured that our international SEO strategy went beyond simply translating English-language pages and instead reflected the search behavior and market characteristics of each target country.
04. Content Strategy and Blog Development
Alongside the expansion of the commercial website structure, we developed the site's informational content clusters.
We created a content plan based on competitors' topical gaps, informational search demand, and opportunities to strengthen commercial landing pages.
The strategy included:
Creating topic-focused blog articles.
Targeting long-tail search queries.
Preparing detailed SEO content briefs.
Optimizing existing publications.
Building internal links from informational content to relevant commercial categories.
The blog became an important component of the SEO ecosystem, helping the website capture additional topical searches and establish meaningful connections between informational and commercial content.
05. Technical SEO Optimization
The large-scale expansion of the website structure required continuous monitoring of its technical performance.
We focused on improving search engine crawlability, ensuring proper indexation, and strengthening the internal SEO architecture.
Key areas of work:
Monitoring the indexation of commercial pages.
Optimizing sitemap.xml and robots.txt.
Analyzing canonical tags and duplicate URLs.
Optimizing metadata and page headings.
Improving internal linking.
Monitoring technical errors and website performance.
Reviewing international SEO configurations.
Technical optimization was carried out alongside content development to ensure that newly created pages could be properly crawled, processed, and indexed by search engines.
06. Link Building: Strengthening Domain Authority
To support growth in a highly competitive niche, we implemented a systematic off-page SEO strategy.
Our primary focus was on the topical relevance of referring websites, the quality of link placements, anchor text diversity, and the gradual development of the backlink profile.
Key areas of work:
Analyzing competitors' backlink profiles.
Identifying relevant link-building opportunities in target markets.
Building backlinks to commercial landing pages and strategically important topical sections.
Maintaining a balanced mix of anchor-text and non-anchor backlinks.
Monitoring newly acquired and lost backlinks.
Our comprehensive approach to both on-page and off-page ranking factors helped strengthen the competitiveness of the website across highly contested keyword clusters.
